PYE Water-Lock Acrylic Based Masonry Waterproofing Paint

The exceptional versatility of PYE WATER-LOCK is perfect to waterproof interior and exterior, below-grade masonry walls, cinder and concrete blocks, stucco, brick, retaining walls, basement walls, and foundations. This powerful waterproofer has been tested under the rigorous GB/T 23445 Hydrostatic Negative Pressure Standard, assuring optimal performance.

Superior in its ability to bond with good quality acrylic paint, PYE WATER-LOCK delivers outstanding waterproofing performance when applied to unpainted surfaces. Note that it is not recommended for use on horizontal surfaces subject to foot traffic.

Surface Preparation:

Surface must be clean and free from dirt, dust, grease, oil & paint. Patch evenly all holes or cracks and floor/wall joints with PYE Aqua Plug or fast setting hydraukic cement.

Affected painted water-mark area must be removed by scrapping off or by using PYE Strippa M. 

Application:

1. Stir throughly before & during application.
2. Do not thin.
3. Paint only when air & surface is at room temperature or higher.
4. Apply directly on bare masonry.
5. Apply 1st coat with brush or good quality nylon bristle brush to penatrate into the pores of the masonry.
6. Allow to dry 3 hours between coats.
7. Two (2) coats are sufficient depending on the porosity of the surface/substrate.

Coverage:

• Approx 1.5sqm per kg for the first (1) coat
• 2.5sqm per kg for succeeding coats
